If you wash at home
Plooma recommends that feather and goose down based products be washed only when need in specialized laundries, always following the washing instructions.
If you opt for this procedure, remember:
- the water should not exceed a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius;
- do not use bleach;
- do not use a tank washer;
- rinse the piece well, removing all soap residue, which may cause odor;
- after washing, immediately put the item in a rotary drum dryer. Centrifugation should be very strong.
If the velocity is reduced, allow the piece to go through the process longer. Otherwise, the product will only dry at the extremities and the middle will remain damp, compromising the quality of the piece;
- never use a clothesline for drying.
In the case of odor
If your pillow or quilt has been kept in a damp place, they may have a slight odor. In order to combat that, leave the product in the sun or in a well-ventilated place for a few hours. If you prefer, put it in the clothes dryer on low for a few hours. In this case, you may also add a tennis ball lightly sprayed with the aroma of your choice.
Removing small stains
Small stains can be removed using a damp cloth and neutral soap. Put the piece in the sun or leave it in a well-ventilated place until completely dry.
